Nursery

Our nursery is open to children of ages newborn to 24 months. The nursery is fully staffed with two thoroughly screened and trained church members on Sunday morning (Sunday School and morning service), Sunday evening, and Wednesday night.

Sunday School

Sunday mornings from 9:15 AM to 10:10 AM, our children (Ages 2-12) study God's Word together in a classroom setting.  We use quarterly curriculum that stresses the importance of Bible literacy at an early age, while constantly pointing to the overarching theme of the Bible - Redemption through Jesus Christ.

Beginners' Church
During our Sunday Morning Worship Service our younger children (Ages 2-5) have the option of participating in Kids Worship. Kids Worship offers age appropriate Bible lessons and singing along with a snack and craft time.  The children are normally dismissed from church during the last congregational song. Parents then need to come and pick up their children at the end of the service.

Wednesday

AWANA
AWANA is held on Wednesday evenings during the school year. Club starts at 6:30 PM and our evening of activities ends at 8:00 PM. A typical AWANA evening includes time for the following: Bible verse memorization and discussion, Bible instruction, and games. AWANA at Delhi Baptist ministers not only to our families, but also reaches out to families in other churches as well as families in our community. AWANA also hosts special events throughout the year when the parents of our AWANA children are invited into our church.

Puppets
The teens of our church participate in our Puppet ministry, as part of our AWANA ministry, once a month. The Puppet Team also ministers during our Vacation Bible School Program during the Summer.  The puppets are able to grab the attention of children for 10-15 minutes while teaching them valuable life and Bible lessons in a way unlike any other ministry.

Vacation Bible School
A special week of the year for the ministry to our children is Vacation Bible School, typically held in a summer month such as August.  Activities throughout each day include Bible lessons, games, crafts, snacks, music, and puppets.  Children also have the chance to show their parents what they have learned during our finale event, held typically on a Sunday evening.

Summer Camp
Many of our children spend a week during the summer at Camp Manitoumi (located near Peoria, IL).  As the camp's motto will tell you, it is indeed "the fun place to learn the right way to live."  To learn more about Camp Manitoumi, visit www.manitoumi.com.
